Evidence suggests that people with atopic dermatitis (AD) may have an increased risk of developing various other health conditions due to underlying systemic inflammation. While psoriasis patients are known to have higher rates of systemic inflammation and atherosclerotic disease, the relationship between AD and cardiovascular disease remains unclear. To investigate this, the 2021 National Health Interview Survey data was used to study the association between AD and cardiovascular issues.
