Comorbid Ocular Surface Disease in Atopic Dermatitis: A Review with Emphasis on Conjunctivitis and Practical Management Strategies

The most common ocular surface disease (OSD) associated with atopic dermatitis (AD) is conjunctivitis, and its occurrence may increase with the use of monoclonal antibody biologics that target the type 2 inflammatory pathway. The purpose of this review is to bring attention to the presence of coexisting OSD in AD patients, with a focus on conjunctivitis, and to equip dermatologists with the knowledge to address mild eye-related concerns.
